The 'Level Playing Field' initiative, piloted last year, is designed to highlight and promote the opportunities for disabled people to play and to watch the wonderful game. Extending through the first two weeks in April our support of the campaign this season is shown at tonight's game against Wigan Athletic during which the teams will wear 'Level Playing Field' armbands.

As part of a number of activities being undertaken at Blackburn Rovers in support of "Kick It Out", football's national anti-racism campaign, young people following programmes in the Education Department have been examining the issues of racism, bullying and anti-social behaviour while also using their newly-acquired ICT skills to produce a poster designed to raise public awareness and to underline the fact that such behaviour, both on and off the field, is unacceptable and unwanted by the majority.

"Educate at Ewood", the education department at Blackburn Rovers, has been chosen as one of only thirty organisations to receive Community Chest funding from Kick It Out/Football Foundation for an innovative programme focusing on respect for diversity in our society.
