Enckelman: Staying a further month with Rovers
PETER Enckelman is to extend his loan period at Ewood Park for a second month.
Due to the injuries relating to goalkeepers Alan Kelly and David Yelldell, Rovers have been given permission to keep the Finnish stopper for a further month as experienced cover for current number one Brad Friedel.
Aston Villa officials have agreed to the extension and Enckelman will stay on with Rovers until January 4 2004.
He initially arrived on a month's loan from Villa at the beginning of November in answer to a goalkeeping crisis at Rovers.
Since then, he has been on the bench for the Premiership games, but has also put in three impressive Reserve team performances, helping them to remain unbeaten throughout November.
