ROVERS have announced a price freeze on Season Tickets for supporters who buy before the end of April.

The move will mean fans will still be able to benefit from last year's reduction which saw the club drastically cut the average cost of a season ticket by a massive 25%.

Rovers used around £1 million of extra revenue generated by the new television deal to pass on savings to supporters in the form of reduced prices and fans responded with the number of season ticket holders increasing by more than 2,500 - a 20% rise!

The decision to cut the cost of watching football at Ewood Park won widespread critical acclaim from fans, the media and even government ministers.

Now the club is rewarding the loyalty of supporters who take advantage of the 'Early Bird' initiative by holding the cost of season tickets.

It means the cheapest Season Ticket will still cost just £249 for the Fraser Eagle stand, while the most expensive season ticket stays at £399.

The cost of a season ticket behind the goal in the Walkersteel Blackburn End will be just £299. The price for juniors will remain at £99. It means a family of two adults and two children will be able to enjoy 19 Premiership matches at around £10 per head per game in the most popular part of the ground.

Simon Williams, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Rovers, said: "It was a bold move to cut the cost of Season Tickets in the way we did last year and the response from supporters was fantastic.

"Cost was one of the reasons why fans were not coming to matches and the lower price of season tickets removed that barrier for many people.

"We want to build on the success of last season's price reductions and that's why we have announced the price freeze. We hope even more supporters will take advantage of this unbeatable value to watch live Premier League football."

Manager Mark Hughes said: "All top level players want to be performing in front of large crowds and the support we have had this season at Ewood Park has been terrific.

"I hope even more fans will take advantage of the price freeze on season tickets and cheer us on next season as it does make a difference to the players."

Star striker Roque Santa Cruz, who is due to unveil the price freeze at the Mall Shopping Centre in Blackburn, on Monday, said: "The fans have been excellent this season and as players you notice when it's a full house as it creates a great atmosphere and we enjoy playing in full stadiums."

All current Season Ticket holders and matchday purchasers will be receiving their application packs through the post over the next few days, in the meantime fans who would like to download extra application forms can do so via the links on our pricing page.
