BRETT Emerton could miss out on Saturday's match against Wigan Athletic due to a reoccurrence of a groin injury,

The Australian international had missed the draw against Fulham the previous weekend, but returned to action against West Ham United on Saturday only to be replaced at half-time by Zurab Khizanishvili.

"Brett had a reoccurrence of his groin injury so he had to come off," confirmed manager Mark Hughes after the game.

Emerton's injury could also mean that he won't be fit to travel to China for Australia's forthcoming World Cup qualifier in Kunming. The game is due to take place on Wednesday 26th March, but if the defender doesn't make the Wigan Athletic game for his club, then it is highly unlikely he'll be making the long trek East for his country.

The game against Wigan Athletic on Saturday is a Team Rover matchday, with tickets for Team Rovers members available at just £1. Futher details can be found here.
