Vogel adjusting quickly
SWISS star Johann Vogel is slowly getting used to the hectic nature of the Premier League.
The 30-year-old has made three appearances for Mark Hughes' side since his move to Rovers in March following his release from his contact at Spanish side Real Betis, and has had to quickly come to terms with how the game is played in England.
But after impressing in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United, Vogel now feels that he is getting used to his new surroundings and can only get better.
"I played against Tottenham, Liverpool and now Manchester United, three very difficult games and after ten months without playing," said Vogel to Radio Rovers. "But I think I've made a step forward for the future and that is good.
"Physically I can be better and with the ball also, but against United I think it was a good performance like all of the team and that is the positive for the future."
On Saturday's game Vogel, a one-time transfer target for Manchester United, was disappointed to lose the win so late on in the game, but was proud of the way the team played.
"It as a pity at the end that we conceded the goal of course, but to be fair, one point against Manchester United for us is a good step forward.
"In the first half they didn't have any good chances, we played well, we were very close together, we didn't give any space to them.
"In the second half they pushed a little bit more, they want to be champions and for us it was difficult, but we can proud of ourselves for the whole of the game."
