ROVERS striker Matt Derbyshire joined a host of local dignitaries for the official opening of Anne Frank + You.

The award-winning exhibition will be on show at Blackburn Cathedral from May 1st-28th.

Already some 73 schools - just under 5,000 children - have booked slots to visit the exhibit, which features a life-size replica of Anne's bedroom, where she wrote her celebrated diary whilst hiding from the Nazis.

Matt is pictured with Thea Hurst, diarist contemporary of Anne Frank, and Canon Chris Chivers for the cutting of the red ribbon.
