Rovers' Player of the Year Roque Santa Cruz was last night named Nuts magazine's Bargain of the Season.

Roque won the Bargain of the Season award at the WKD Nuts Football Awards 2008 after his outstanding season for Blackburn where he was signed by Mark Hughes for just £3.5m. It's the second year running that Hughes has signed the Bargain of the Season as Benni McCarthy won the award in 2007.

The WKD Nuts Football Awards will be broadcast on TMF, on Sunday May 11 at 9pm. For the full list of award winners, pictures and interviews, Nuts will be on sale from Tuesday May 20.
