DEFENDER Stephen Warnock won't be happy unless Rovers improve on last season's seventh place finish.

The full back, who capped a fine season with Rovers by making his senior debut for England in June, insists that the players are better than the showing last campaign, and that new boss Paul Ince is the man to move the team upwards in the league.

"We are a club that is moving forward and we are all looking forward to the new era under the new manager," said Warnock.

"Last season, even though we finished seventh, it was still a bit of a disappointment to the lads as we feel that we can finish higher than that.

"So anything lower than seventh position again will be a disappointing season for us."
