Biography:
Mark Hughes signed the highly experienced André Ooijer from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in August 2006 for an undisclosed fee.
A permanent fixture at the heart of Marco van Basten's Holland side, Ooijer signed a two year deal with the club having an option of a third year.
A versatile defender, André is able to play anywhere across the back line and also in midfield, however his first season with Rovers was cruelly cut short when the Dutchman sustained a broken leg in January 2007.
