ROVERS' Irish under 21 trio will be hoping to start this afternoon as the Republic of Ireland under 21s kick off their Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia later today.

Don Given's side take on the host nation Malaysia at 2pm UK time, with Rovers players Alan Judge, Eddie Nolan and Keith Treacy all expected to play their part.

After the game against the Malaysian's Ireland face Nigeria on May 17th and finish their group with a game against Iraq on Monday 19th May.

The other group sees Chile, Australia, Croatia and Ghana take part.
